Saybolt Universal
This apparatus used to measure the viscosity of fluids, particularly petroleum products like lubricants, fuels, and ashphalt at the specific temperatures between 21°C to 99°C. It operates on the principal of efflux viscometry, where the time required for a fixed volume of fluid to flow through a calibrated capillary tube under controlled conditions. Saybolt thermometers are optional and sold separately.
