          Test Procedure<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

          1. Sample Preparation:<\/strong> Asphalt samples are taken from construction sites or asphalt plants and prepared for testing. The samples consists of asphalt binder mixed with aggregate material such as, crushed stones, gravel and sand.<\/span><\/li>\n
          2. Extraction:<\/strong> The asphalt sample is placed into a centrifuge extractor, which then spins rapidly. The centrifugal force separates the bitumen binder from the aggregate materials.<\/span><\/li>\n
          3. Separation:<\/strong> As the centrifuge rotates, the denser bitumen settles at the bottom of the sample container, forming a compacted layer. Meanwhile, the lighter aggregate materials stay suspended in the liquid portion above, known as the supernatant.<\/span><\/li>\n
          4. Measurement:<\/strong> After centrifugation, The bitumen pellet is carefully removed from the container, dried, and weighed. The weighed of the extracted bitumen is then used to calculate the percentage of bitumen content in the original asphalt mixture.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
