Saybolt Universal
This apparatus used to measure the viscosity of fluids, particularly petroleum products like lubricants, fuels, and ashphalt at the specific temperatures between 21C to 99C. It operates on the principal of efflux viscometry, where the time required for a fixed volume of fluid to flow through a calibrated capillary tube under controlled conditions. Saybolt thermometers are optional and sold separately.
